Chapters 11,12, and 13 Blog Questions On The Hunger Games

Chapter 11
 1. What is the Cornucopia?
    The Cornucopia is a big basket. This Cornucopia has supplies of what the tributes need. But to get the supplies they need to fight for them. And unfortunately the most useful things are the ones farthest away.And the least useful are the closest. The Cornucopia is 20 feet high. 
 2. How does Katniss make it into the woods? What weapons does she choose? Why?
    Katniss  makes it into the woods with blood splattered on her face. Because when she was picking up a small bag, a boy started fighting her for it but then a career threw a knife at his back and he spit out blood which unfortunately landed on Katniss's face.And when she's running the career throws a knife at her head but Katniss blocks it with her bag.she chose the bag because she didn't want to leave with nothing.
  3. Why is Katniss angry at the tribute who starts the fire? Who is hunting in the pack?
    She was mad because the fire could attract  the other tributes making her an easy target.Which later attracts a career pack which is a pack of tributes who their whole lives have been trained to fight.But for some reason Peeta was in it.

Chapter 12

1. What is Katniss struggling to find?
Katniss is struggling to find water. She is so thirsty. She needs to quench her thirst. She needs to find a source of water fast. This will help her strength.

2. In what ways is Katniss “playing the game”?  
These are the ways she is surviving. She is playing the game by camouflaging. Also, by finding resources. Also by using things around her. Lastly is finding food and water.

3. Why doesn’t Haymitch send Katniss water? 
Haymitch isn't sending her water because  he thinks she could survive without the water. Also, he is probably drunk. Another way is  it is he  is testing her abilities.Also, it is probably that he despise her.  Lastly it is because he can't find her.

Chapter 13

1. What new threat does Katniss face?
Katniss faces the threat of a big fire! Katniss wakes up and the woods are burning. She must find a place that's not burning up. She's also struggling with her breathing.
2. How do the Gamemakers control the events of the Games?
The Gamemakers control the games by changing everything. They could change the weather or make obstacles for the tributes. They control/change the games when they start getting boring. They might also want to reunite the tributes so that there can be some action.
3. What slows Katniss down?
What slows Katniss down is her breathing and fire balls. There are fireballs coming down from the sky. She knows the Gamemakers are up to this. Katniss gets burned on her leg.
4. Who finds her?
The careers find Katniss. She hears them walking towards her when she's in the pond. She walks and she knows the carreers are behind her.
